CONSERVATION ORGANIZATIONS

People frequently ask me which organizations I love and support that are doing amazing conservation work. Here’s a list of my favorites, here in Colorado, in the US, and around the world.

Local Colorado Organizations

Aspen Center for Environmental Studies

Aspen Center for Environmental Studies

ACES provides environmental education to schools from Aspen to Rifle in Colorado, partnering with more than 60 schools to provide education programs in the classroom and field. In addition to science education, ACES also focuses on sustainable food systems and regenerative agriculture, forest health, habitat restoration, and connecting adults and children to nature.

Thorne Nature Experience

Thorne Nature Experience

Thorne Nature Experience was founded by my friend Dr. Oakleigh Thorne, II. Thorne was one of Colorado’s first environmental nonprofits and has a storied history and many accomplishments that include connecting more than 300,000 youth and adults to nature. Thorne Nature Experience builds Earth Stewardship by providing joyful, hands-on, place-based environmental education experiences that foster an emotional connection to nature.
